Femininity

Sneak peek of my new project. I decided to look at Femininity, horticulture, the human form, sexuality and how all of these interlink. Still at the beginning stages,  but will post work when all finished ! Exhibition of all work from this project is the 7th of June, Church Square Campus, Cleveland College of Art and Design.

Indigo Fashion Fabrics

Photograph taken by Jayne, Bryony and I working on the stand selling work at Indigo Fashion Fabrics. Was a brilliant experience, seeing work from quite famous designers and companies. Even people watching was something to see over there! Our university sold quite a bit of work and overall it was quite a success.

Serenity

Completed a Fashion Accessory project based on the theme 'Serenity'.
Decided to go with a sort of ethereal feel when it came to my drawing sets. Focussing on the colours black, green and blue i produced a series of paintings of flowers and insects. In the end I produced an evening bag with a clasp, everything is made from scratch, all fabrics are hand dyed with acid dyes and embroidered by anchor threads using hand and machine techniques. The clasp was pre-bought from www.etsy.com, and what a faff on that was to attach ! To go along side it i made an accessory neck piece, however i wasnt any where near as pleased with this as i was the bag !
